Visual Communication Design I is an exploration into the area of computer graphic design and other related fields. The curriculum includes the development of personal creativity, computer art production, and portfolio development that is presented in accordance with appropriate developmental practice. In addition, students will become acquainted with the major software packages utilized on Mac computers in the professional world of design. These software packages include the following Adobe products: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Possible career opportunities for those in Visual Communication Design include: Graphic Designers, Multimedia Specialists, Interface Designers, Production Artists, Web Designers, and Game Designers.
